Several distributor roads form a motorway ring that runs around Gießen ("Gießener Ring"): autobahn A480 (north), autobahn A485 (east), Bundesstrasse B429 (west) and Bundesstrasse B49 (south). Numerous exits of this beltway make it easy to reach any location in the city of Gießen.
